The Giants sport a 2-9 record, third worst in the league, because of an uninspired coaching performance by Ben McAdoo, uninspired quarterback play by Eli Manning and injuries to big-time receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall. Among the eight teams with the worst records through week 12, the Giants have the lowest approval rating on Social, at 37 percent over the last 90 days. The Miami Dolphins (4-7) come in next at 38 percent positive, which is in large part due to a five-game losing streak that firmly knocked the team out of playoff contention. The 3-8 Colts and 4-7 Buccaneers — both dealing with serious injuries to their star quarterbacks — have 40 percent positive scores. They trail the 3-8 Denver Broncos, with a 43 percent positive score, which is somehow shared by the winless Cleveland Browns and one-win San Francisco 49ers (who have defeated only the Giants). Bears fans can’t take solace in their 3-8 record, but for whatever it’s worth, Chicago is the most-liked subpar squad this year, with a 44 percent positive score. –Alex Shultz
