It is my parents 70th wedding anniversary.
Through world wars, depression and recession.
Through the good times; that golden era of the 1950’s, the hope of the 60’s and the wealth of the 80’s.
In all of these ups and downs, this love has never faltered, it is an act of selfless service and deep contentment.
In their quiet humbleness lies a depth of wisdom.
There are no secrets here, no hacks nor strategies.
From childhood sweethearts to near centenarians the tryst is unbreakable.
It is forged not in promise, but in the freedom of love.
Happy anniversary to my parents.
