AHRMA at GingerMan Raceway, South Haven, MI – June 3 – 4, 2017

Welcome to GingerMan Raceway, located in the picturesque lakeshore town of South Haven, Michigan, home to Round 5 of the 2017 AHRMA Road Racing Championship. The DCC Crew was short a few riders for this outing, but that didn’t stop them from throwing down some serious laps. The field was tight, racing through the 11 corners of this 2.14 mile course, and competition was stiff. Every race was hard fought and positions were closely contested throughout the classes.

Saturday

Scott Turner finished 3rd in the Le Man and Sportsman 500 classes, and battled his was to a 2nd Place in Sportsman 350.
Jim Korn took 4th in Production Lightweight and a 2nd place in Production Heavyweight.
George Hernandez rounded out the day with a 6th place finish in Vintage Superbike Middleweight.

Sunday

Scotty finished 3rd in the Le Man class and fought for 2nd in the Sportsman 350 & 500 classes.
Jim took 5th in Lightweight Production & 4th in the Heavyweight Class.
George held on to another 6th place in Vintage Superbike.

After the tragic loss of Nicky Hayden, the AHRMA family of racers banded together in tribute to the late champion. They signed a poster to be sent to the Hayden family, and held a special parade lap with the lead bike carrying Nicky’s #69 plates. Racing motorcycles is a competitive sport, but the bond that exists between racers makes it a brotherhood. It brings people together for fun and excitement, and it also helps to see them through the tough times.

Next weekend The DCC AHRMA Team heads to Road America in Wisconsin for Round 6!
